We start off our week with our first show, State of the Union. Jake Tapper starts his show with a one-on-one interview with Donald Trump. And starts off with on a light note with congratulating him with his endorsement of Speaker Paul Ryan. Jake tries to tell Trump whether he is concern with Paul Ryan's hesitation with him but, Trump brushes it off. And saying he is winning and that shouldn't hurt him. Onwards, we head into the interview with the topic of the verbal attacks made by Hilary Clinton towards Trump. She has made it clear that she does not think that he (Trump) is not qualified on being the president nor a commander in chief. Trump thinks the same of Hilary. Next, Jake heads into the subject of foreign affairs and questions Trump on whether he thinks that Japan should have nukes and if the United States should continue to protect Japan. Trump in his own words thinks that Japan should be paying the US the whole price to keep on protecting them. He also includes that he was against the Iraq War. Our next topic is over the violence that occurs at his rallies. Donald Trump says that the people who are protesting are thugs and they are coming from Bernie Sanders and the Democrats. Next topic, is one that I think was troubling for Trump. When Trump was asked on the comments with Federal Judge, Gonzalo P. Curiel and whether he can conduct his job, he was dodging the question and bringing in that because "he is a Mexican. I'm building a wall."( Trump) and Jake Tapper tried to get a definitive answer but didn't really get one. I personally didn't like how Trump was dodging some of the questions and tried to change the subject. And how he went off topic really. Next, interview was with Hilary Clinton. Jake starts off with the speech she made on Donald Trump and his "thin" skin. She went on to say that he's not qualified to be the president or commander in chief, and that he would probably bring us into an war. Next, was violence at Trump's rallies and she doesn't condemn any of it, neither at his rally or hers or Bernie's. We end her interview with the upcoming California primaries. And stated she was confident that she would win. I wished that different questions would have been asked then the same ones that asked to Trump. Our final interview was Bernie Sanders. In which the interview started off with question of the primaries and he needed the supporter of the young people. He pledges to go all the way to the convention. The topic of Trump accusing of his supporters (Sanders) disrupting his rallies. The next subject discussing that of him and Hilary don't see Trump as a qualified candidate. Personally, I think that Sanders was slow to answer the questions.
On our second show, This Week with George Stephanopoulos, the show begins with a interview of Hilary Clinton and the topic of Trump's Temperament and how the insults being thrown around between the two. The subject of Trump's insults towards Federal Judge Gonzalo P. Curiel was brought to the light and she responded that his attacks are racist. Next, was her infamous email scandal and how she just assumed that she could use a private email. She defends her usage of it. The topic of the second amendment and if she that it was a constitutional right was brought up, and she immediately took a 180 degree on that question and turned the subject to history lesson. Until, George S. redirected what the original question was about and get an actual response from her. Would she support a firearms sales tax was asked and no, she doesn't support it. And the interview ends with talk of the California primaries and she's confident to win. Our next interview was with Senator Bob Corker, an endorser of Donald Trump. The interview starts off with the comments of the federal judge and what are his thoughts on that but he chooses to move on to the next question. Which I think he should of given his view on it or an opinion on it. We head on to the insults being exchanged between Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton and what is with that deal. George S. brings into the light the Trump's ideas and his policies. Corker has said that Trump needs to change and doesn't see eye to eye with his proposals. They discussed Trump's foreign policies and how some are impossible and some not too enthusiastic. I did not personally liked how he didn't really want to explain how he feels with some of Trump's policies. We are at the roundtable, where talk of how Trump needs to change in going to the general election. His attacks with the federal judge and how ironic that Paul Ryan endorsed Donald Trump the same day that Hilary made her speech of attacking Trump. There was talk of how the third party will impact the general election and if republicans are more in favor of Trump or the third party nominee. Once again, we talk about how neck and neck are Bernie Sanders and Hilary Clinton in the California primaries. I agreed with talk of the Trump needing change going in the general election. Our next set of pundits talk about the economy and the dismal growth in May. And how is the economy is ever growing slow and which candidate has the right plan for our country. They talk about how will the economy will affect this presidential election.
At end of this, I think that both host should different topics for each guest and that the guests should have actually answer the questions that were asked instead of dodging or avoiding them.
